In the fall of 2017, we were awarded the contract to manufacture a new bridge near Mayereinöd in Salzburg as part of the flood protection measures along the Salzach river.

The new structure was designed as a composite bridge. Precast TT slabs with external reinforcement were used in the transverse direction—a solution that allowed for both high slenderness and a short construction period. All steel components and the reinforcement were manufactured in our plant and provided with the initial corrosion protection.

The main girders, each 25 meters long, were transported to the construction site and welded there. A particular highlight was the lifting of the 50-meter-long girders using a 600-metric-ton crawler crane—an event that also attracted numerous spectators from the surrounding area.
