Project voestalpine cable bridge

The cable bridge measures 33 metres in length, is 1.70 metres wide and 2.13 metres deep. It is used as a cableway for a 30-KV supply line between the high furnace-fan house and the rail rolling mill on the factory site and as a guide track for the remote heating and natural gas pipelines.

The scale of the contract for the complete cable bridge included a bridge in lattice girder construction including the construction of ladders to access the cable traces and a walkway.

The contract further included a fixed storage and pendulum support.

The two supports hold the cable bridge at a height of 12.50 metres above the ground.
