AVL bridge

After the new building and the increase of two office buildings at the area of AVL List GmbH in Graz, the connection of these two buildings took place with a two-storey pedestrian bridge in autumn 2008.

The company NCA manufactured and put up this architectural steel-girder construction. The bridge was fitted in and put up in 2 stages of construction between the two buildings.
In the first section, the bridge was put up with a length of 27 metres, a breadth of 20 metres and a total height of 20 metres between the two buildings. The bridge was covered with glass. The total weight of the steel/glass construction is about 50 tons.

In the second period, informers were inserted and screwed together for the concrete ceiling. The informers had a weight of 5.5 tons.

After only 3 months construction time, the connection bridge could be submitted to a wonderful view.
