Opterra Karsdorf

The Karsdorf cement plant in Germany is part of OPTERRA Germany. At the Karsdorf site, about 1.5 million tons of clinker are burned each year in two furnaces. In order to meet the stricter requirements of the 17th BimSchV, the exhaust gases of the furnaces must be further embroidered from 1.1.2019.

This requires the use of forward looking environmental technologies. Our company was commissioned to build this prototype, which has been successfully in operation since 2019.  Our scope of supply consists of two newly developed AutoNO_x, a regenerative SCR system, and all associated auxiliary units. Another important component is the conversion of the two existing electrostatic filter systems.
